Star Trek: Prodigy is a joint venture between CBS and kids’ broadcaster Nickelodeon. It will become the first Star Trek series to be aimed at a younger audience – though the behind-the-scenes team insist there will be plenty for grown-ups to enjoy as well! Kate Mulgrew will reprise her role as Captain Kathryn Janeway in Prodigy, which will make its debut on Paramount+ sometime later this year.
Season 1 is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+ on the 28th of October, and I hope to be able to review each episode as they’re broadcast.

“Captain Janeway was one of many characters who could’ve potentially appeared in Star Trek: Picard or future productions set in or around the dawn of the 25th Century. The real surprise was that she’s going to be reprising the role for the upcoming animated series Star Trek: Prodigy…”
