Star Trek: Discovery debuted in 2017, and marked the franchise’s return to the small screen after a twelve-year hiatus. Though I did watch Seasons 1 and 2 when they were first broadcast, it was before I founded the website, and because of that I haven’t written up a review of every episode. However, beginning with Season 3 I wrote reviews of every new episode, and I hope to go back and re-watch all of Seasons 1 and 2 eventually.
In October 2020, to coincide with the premiere of Season 3, ViacomCBS announced that the series has been renewed for a fourth season, which began filming in late 2020. Production wrapped in the summer of 2021, and the new season is scheduled to premiere on the 18th of November. If there’s significant news about the season, or we get to see a new trailer, check back as I’ll be sure to discuss it here! And when the season kicks off, be sure to check back every week for episode reviews and perhaps a spot of theory-crafting!

“Section 31 was announced too early. If CBS had waited to see how Discovery’s second season was received, then the obvious choice by far for a spin-off was an Anson Mount-led series, which would probably be set on the Enterprise. That would be the fan favourite choice for a 23rd Century spin-off at the moment.”
