Star Trek: Picard

Star Trek: Picard was the franchise’s big return to the 24th Century, and premiered in January 2020. In the run-up to the first season I wrote a number of articles, as well as reviews and theories for each episode.

A second season was confirmed in early 2020 in the run-up to Season 1’s premiere, but the pandemic delayed production for months. Season 2 finally entered production in late February 2021, and is scheduled to be broadcast in February next year – presumably shortly after Discovery Season 4 has aired. Season 3 has also officially entered production, presumably targeting a 2023 broadcast. Stay tuned, because I’ll be covering any news we get about the series over the coming months!

Season 2 Buildup:

Season 2 began filming in February 2021. If there’s major news or a trailer, you can expect to find a breakdown here.

Season 1 Episode Reviews:

“It’s difficult to tell a compelling story in less than eight minutes, and I understand that for budget reasons we aren’t going to be running around a brand new, never-before-seen starship and interacting with dozens of characters. My expectations for an episode like this are kept in check…”Read more Children of Mars – a review

Star Trek: Picard review – Season 1, Episode 1: Remembrance

A lot has happened in my life since, and as Sir Patrick Stewart has told us in interviews over the last couple of years, a lot has happened to Picard in that time too…”Read more Star Trek: Picard review – Season 1, Episode 1: Remembrance

Star Trek: Picard review – Season 1, Episode 10: Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 2

“When I think about the season as a whole, Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 1 is by far the worst episode, and while Part 2 went some way to rectifying that, and did manage to pull out a passable end to the story, it wasn’t an especially great episode either, with some definite low points to counteract the emotional highs…”Read more Star Trek: Picard review – Season 1, Episode 10: Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 2

Six Star Trek: Picard theories

“Remembrance, the first episode of Star Trek: Picard, introduced us to a lot of information about some of the events and individuals that have shaped the galaxy since Nemesis. And I got thinking about a few of those points, as well as other story points from the episode…”Read more Six Star Trek: Picard theories
